Here’s an introduction to some of the dedicated people who are delivering your new town with passion and pride. All have a common goal; a passionate commitment to turn our vision for Shawfair into an exciting reality.
Andrew is a Board Director of Shawfair LLP. He is also the former Chairman of Homes for Scotland. Andrew also leads a community development project in the East End of Glasgow and is currently Director of an arts and music venue, SWG3 in Glasgow.
Anna is involved with the design of the surface water drainage systems at Shawfair and with supervising their construction on site.
Tony leads the Colliers team in providing essential planning consultancy advice to Shawfair LLP.
Chris is an architect and landscape architect with particular professional experience in complex masterplanning, urban design and strategic landscape framework projects. He has specific responsibility for the design of the new town centre.
David manages the overall implementation of the Buccleuch Property investment and development strategy and is a Board Director of Shawfair LLP. David is a non-executive director of Native Land and was chairman of the Scottish Property Federation during 2012.
Holly is a key member of the planning consultancy team at Shawfair, using her extensive planning experience in the UK and United States to deliver robust advice on a daily basis.
A specialist in quantity surveying, Ian provides budgeting and financial guidance to Shawfair, including annual global modelling.
Ian is the strategic project manager for the delivery of the Shawfair masterplan. He coordinates and manages the design team, planning consultants and all key stakeholders including developers and housebuilders. He makes recommendations to the Shawfair LLP board.
Ian is a landscape architect and associate at OPEN and has been providing key design and input at Shawfair for over ten years.
James is a Shawfair LP Board Director and also is responsible for raising finance, running the corporate and Joint Venture structures and assisting with strategic business planning at Buccleuch Property. James has been Finance Director at Buccleuch Property since April 2006.
Jill is responsible for the monitoring and reporting of the financial aspects of the various companies relating to Shawfair, as well as supporting the team on a daily basis in all accounting matters.
Krishma leads the meeting facilitation process at Shawfair and is the first point of contact for all general enquiries and Community Engagement at Shawfair.
Mark is a Director at Ironside Farrar and has been involved in the Sustainable Drainage System design at Shawfair since its inception in 2002 leading coordination with the council and SEPA.
Mike's role in the project is the coordination of the delivery of power, gas, heat and telecommunications provision to the new development including support to the new district heating network.
Nick leads the Buccleuch Property part of the Shawfair LLP, as a Board Director and in terms of delivery strategy covering all parts of successfully developing the masterplan. Formerly a Board Member of Scottish Enterprise in the South of Scotland and a Council Member of The University of Edinburgh’s SAC. Nick has a breadth of knowledge in all property sectors.
Craig was appointed as a Board Director at Mactaggart & Mickel in 2017 and joined the Shawfair LLP Board in Autumn 2022. Craig's role involves the delivery strategy covering all parts of successfully developing the masterplan.
Pol is a founding Director of OPEN who leads the team providing masterplanning, architecture and landscape design to Shawfair LLP. With over 25 years of experience in the built environment, he is passionate about how social and cultural trends influence our everyday places.
